Case Study

Frankfurt International Airport Project

Subject fields: Heating, air-conditioning, ventilation, sanitation systems, sprinkler, and interior hydrants design

The project:
The objective was to ensure that installations (HVAC, Sprinkler, Hydrants) have no collisions between them and also with the other installations type and architectural components.

The BIM process, used through the Project Wise platform, has made it possible for all engineers involved in the airport design project to have real-time access to all plans. This allowed them to coordinate and always reference the latest modifications. Also, by using Bentley’s Clash Detection Modules, it was possible to automatically detect collisions, so we can effortlessly generate weekly collision checking reports for this project.
